Sweet Autumn Clematis is an excellent, vigorous, small-flowered variety. Clusters of small, very fragrant white flowers bloom from September until frost. An excellent vine for split rail fences, lamp posts, and great as a groundcover. This plant likes cool moist soil and full sun. Best to prune this after flowering in the fall or very early in spring before new growth begins. Because this clematis is so vigorous, established plants cut back in spring can grow 15' or more in one season. Pruning type 3.  Sun, Part Sun/Shade
